Departmental perception about Unmotivated employees is very negative and most of the employee consider the unmotivated employees as burden to management. They also feel that these unmotivated people are also neglected and poorly managed in the organization. My decision to bring this unmotivated people again into the forefront did not go well in the organization. Most seniors are saying that this effort is a waste effort with wastage of both resources and money. My decision to reboot the unmotivated employees based on the principle that treating employees with respect and demonstrating that the organisation values them as people or asset will help to reduce the likelihood of falling motivation levels. Obviously , this will create some ripple effect as some people may oppose it. As some people with orthodox thinking may feel that their importance will be minimized and thus they will start hesitating to accept any kind of change within organization. Their own motivation level will go down and they will feel to be neglected in the organization. The disciplinary process against the unmotivated employees be it for good cause or for some other reason will not serve the purpose. Instead unmotivated person will be demotivated and their morale will be down. A feeling of frustration and dissatisfaction will be developed among unmotivated employees. Disciplinary process will not be beneficial. The employee with less motivation level will go downfurther.
