Explanation / Answer

Implicit bias are the ones which happen unconsciously, when a person is not aware that he is doing a bias. Implicit bias are mostly because the person has been raised in that way. It is more related to nurture. For e.g of I am buying fruits and vegetables from a person of my religion. This is what AI have seen my mother and grandmother doing it. Unconsciously I am not buying vegetables from a person of other religion.my mind is ignoring the same unconsciously.

Explicit bias are the ones which we do consciously. Very consciously we try to favour some. For eg, any recruitment agency not recruitment because of the religion basis and based upon the skill.

Understanding these biases is very important to bring change in oneself and in the whole society. If one understand that he or she is doing implicit bias based upon the religion or colour one would try to improve and would try to be equal and fair with everyone.

By understanding explicit bias and its effects, one would avoid that bias. Usually in this fast and busy life we try to have explicit bias. But by reducing explicit bias there can be more peace.
