He may be right in his place because it is a much more digital way to interact and also cost-effective Online education has always been a controversial subject to discuss among the students, colleges, professors and parents. There are a million number of people are still living a life which has no correlation with the advance and technological era in which we are living. there are still millions of people cannot afford the college fee and do not get an education or ability to complete their higher education, sometimes in life, it's just the zeal to learn and find a way, the resources and way will automatically come to you. Introducing college education on the computer in rural and backward areas is still very difficult to achieve. It is also not appreciated by some of the students, where it should be made available but the decision to chose should not be imposed and it should be decided by the students.

Explanation / Answer

At the moment, online classes or courses are not a novelty, however in the 90s they were new phenomena and they came into being due to a societal concern. Many of the children could not afford expensive courses in good universities due to their heavy fee structure. They also required working side by side in order to cater to their expenses. A regular course was seen to be less likely to support that lifestyle, especially in the good universities/colleges. To cater to this issue and in order to help children from different societal backgrounds to continue their education, this was used as a new methodology. The advantages of online courses are that they have a flexible structure and allow the student to log in and study as and when they wish to. The access to more universities becomes easier in that situation, no commutation is required, thus saving that expenditure for students, they have substantially lower costs and they are accredited programs that give them the needed credibility/value. The disadvantages on the other hand, are the fact the lack of a direct interface and a classroom experience prevents students from having concrete learning. Personal responsibility also becomes increased in this scenario and the student needs to be regular on his own to avoid procrastination, networking challenges are also faced whereby the student does not get the opportunity to connect with others in the same field. All majors and disciplines are also not accessible to this facility. Self-direction and self-help is therefore needed.
