From the table 1, it can be observed that the descriptives of negative comments group is higher (n=24, M= 21.91, S.D= 5.61) than the positive comments grop (n=22,M= 17.27, S.D.=5.71). It suggest that the negative comments affect self-esteem higher than positive comments.
from the table 2, it can be observed that because the F value is isgnificant at 0.05 level (F=0.040, sig= 0.042, p<0.05), the assumption of equal variances is not violated and we assume that there are equal variances among the group.
As equal variances are assumed, we observe that the t value is significant at 0.05 level (t=-2.479, sig=0.017, p<0.05) which suggests that the there is a significant relationship between the self- esteem and positive v/s negative comments. We reject tje null hypothesis and accept the alternate hypothesis stating that there is a significant relationship between the self- esteem and positive v/s negative comments
