Hi everyone
I am the biweekly project manager in 7-8 week for team 3.
In these, two weeks, our team members cooperate with each other more efficiently and naturally since we had been knowing each other for 6 weeks.
What we did right
Communication among us was always efficient and harmonious even when two of our members were not in America. The wechat app we use does not need us to have vpn accounts to send messages from the other countries which was very convenient.
The team members got more and more familiar with each other, so they were more willing to express their opinions and discuss with other members to make the process of our daily work more efficient. All the questions or comments could get responses in 2 hours generally.
We allocated the tasks into two different parts of risk management and quality management and the mission were arranged by different members’ strength.
What we have to improve
The first meeting was late set so we had less time to do the draft.
The topic that the change we had to do in the previous assignment should be discussed face to face.
We should review the knowledge of risk and quality management before we started the work because it had been a long time since we took those classes in the past.
There should be more than 2 members to be allocated to do the assignment’s final quality audit wor

The lessons conveyed here include the importance of communication and division of work which are extremely important to ensure the success of a project. A project cannot be successful without the support from all the team members and the team support can be ensured only through effective communication. The communication channels should be strong so that there is flawless information sharing and the members are up to date on all the process related to the project. In this case the use of we-chat ensures strong communication with the team members crossing the geographical boundaries. The familiarity between the group members obtained through communication help them to express their opinions avoiding group think which is essential for an effective team. When the team members provide faster response for queries, the efficiency of the process also increases. Division of work is important to achieve the project goals in a systematic way. The division of work into risk management and quality management is a great idea to ensure successful completion of project. But the team should ensure proper documentation of tasks to be completed and the changes should be discussed with all the members. It is essential to include necessary training to the team members in the project beginning to ensure productivity and efficiency during the process and the project end should ensure the quality of work through evaluation.
