Question
The text (as is true of all Developmental Psychology textbooks) saves the last chapter for death and dying, following the chapter on old age. We all hope that our own lives follow that arrangement. However, life is unpredictable, and not everyone survives to old age. Some aspects of a "good death" are physical, while others are psychological, and still others are social. Given that, what elements need to come together in a person's life in order for a person to have a good death, cause of death aside? (Please do not state that there is "no good death;" knowing that everyone must die, there are clearly circumstances that are much better than others.
