Explanation / Answer

Alcohol ads use a lot of sexual content, as these ads are primarily directed toward men, they are often seen displaying scantily clad women in them.  In 1988 , Bock’s beer advertised a women sitting on a man’s lap while they are sipping beer. Another such add was Dolley’s vodka add, using the tagline ‘’ Not for the sweet and innocent. The advert for Bacardi, portraying  three breasted women or the advert of budviser  took inspiration from the film American Beauty for the advert featuring bottle tops and beer.

The fact that sex sells is not a recent invention, we have what is called a lizard brain which recognizes three primary things, food, danger and sex. The second our mind comes across a sexual message, it gets activated and it is very difficult to ignore sexual messages. This is why subliminal sexual messages are used.

2) Ads for Cialis and Vigra are a treasure for subliminal perception. Qutoes like “ taking Action”, “ knowing what needs to be done” or “don’t back down from a challenge “ or imagery like ,a women wrapped in a towel or both of them sitting on the mud or the man all have double meaning, Although both these products have different ways of appealing the mass, with vigra adds being all macho and male centric and Cialis adds displaying the couple together and showing their intimacy in long run, they both are trying to make subtle sexual appeals.

This subliminal perception is a part of our automatic information processing for , the individual acquired the information effortlessly without paying attention to the stimuli.

Priming is a no conscious form of human memory concerned with perceptual identification of words and objects. It refers to activating particular representations or associations in memory just before carrying out an action or task. For example, a person who sees the word "yellow" will be slightly faster to recognize the word "banana." This happens because yellow and banana are closely associated in memory. Thin slice effect means the ability of the person to make judgment in a very narrow window of time. On reading the name of the bran, one has an impression about it, like on seeing the add of Tropicano juice with fresh fruits, one can jud.ge that the juice would be pure.
