Explanation / Answer
Yes,the coping startegies that I mostly use is venting out my emotions when I am stressed and also seeking social support from family and friends.for me,being around your loved ones and sharing your problems with them,is the ultimate way of coping with stress and become relaxed.It always good to get anothers perpective on your problems. But instead of suppression of competing activities,i.e.putting aside activities which are not related to my problem I actually like diverting my mind and engage in activities which helps me not think about my problem sometimes. Active coping is definitely used in my way of dealing with stress as I take my problem head on depending upon the intensity of the stress and I do take efforts of removing the stressor,by thinking and analysing and talking to others to come to a solution. Religious coping is also used,but since I pray everyday it has become a part of my life. During certain times I also show restraint in coping with my stress and dont make it too obvious in front of others especially my family,that I am stressed.So,these results,more or less match my coping style.
