1. Sigmund freud - his theory deals with the power of our unconsious minds and its effect on our behaviour . Also known ad the psychodynamic theory .
2.Information processing approach . According to this approach humans process information from environment according to their own capacity . It relates human memory to a computer system that has three main steps i.e. input , processing amd output .
3. Jean piaget’s theory of cognitive development . In this theory he described four stages each and everyone of us go through as we develop .
4.Behavioural theory - according to this theory behaviour can be studied in terms of stimulus response relationship. It focuses on only the behaviour that can be observed directly amd not on the unconcious .
5. Social cognitive learning theory - this theory combines three aspects i.e. social , cognitions amd learning . According to this theory people tend to learn behaviours by observing others . This is known as modelling or immitation .
6. Erik erikson’s theory . In his theory he suggested that development is a lifelomg process and starts from birth and continues until we die . He gave 8 stages .
