According to the Wallerstein, the globalization helped the world to be a unite economy but it established some differences between countries. The globalization created dependency in which some countries got benefits while other got exploitation.
In the world system, semi-periphery or capitalist countries positioned between core and periphery countries, semi periphery regions played a major role in mediating economic, political and social activities thus they utilize the globalization for their interests.

In the world system, the core countries are the industrialized and capitalist countries on which rest of economies depends, core countries control and benefit from global market, their high technology and large market help them to establish a balance between periphery and semi-periphery countries.
The capital of core countries made difference among world’s economic structures. Core countries do not always stay core permanently, throughout history, core nation has been changing.
Economic interest created the globalization and also destroying it, because of economic interests some countries supporting globalization till they get the place in core list while some countries opposing globalization for their same economic and political interests.
