The term ‘cyberphunk’ describes individuals serving as social activists who advocate the practice of techniques for secure communication and privacy-enhancing technologies. Cyberphunks believe this to be the tool for social change, social impact and expression. Cyberphunks aim to achieve privacy and security through proactive use of cryptography or by writing software codes that protect user data from the government and large organisations.
