You just got home from a long day of work and in need of some food and unwinding. As you enter your apartment, you see the remote control to your video game console sitting on the couch. This immediately reminds you that playing games is an effective way for you to unwind. When you turn on your console, there is an advertisement for a new version of one of your favorite games. Upon watching the advertisement, you hear one of your favorite bands being used for the game soundtrack, which elicits an audible cheer from you (“YAY”). You then see a new character with incredibly exciting looking new and improved gear; very colorful and technically sophisticated. You are ecstatic (YAY x 10)! Your thoughts as you watch the demonstration are centered on the gear, which not only looks great, but WOW will it improve function. Now, feeling incredibly psyched and pumped for some new gaming action, you place a pre-order for the game to the tune of $69.99! You then feel your stomach grumble and remember that you have not eaten. Before playing your older game, you head to the kitchen and begin looking through cabinets for something to eat. Garbanzo beans, string beans, boxed stuffing, protein bars, rice…but none of this is very appealing. Suddenly you see a clear picture of “McDoodles’s” Golden Arches in your mind so you quickly run two blocks for a fatty, salty, sugary tasting order inclusive of a burger, fries, and a hot apple pie. It smells so good that you can’t wait to get back home so you immediately sit and eat before returning home to play your game.
