Explanation / Answer

In classical conditioning when a neutral stimulus is associated with a natural stimulus or unconditioned stimulus it evokes conditioned response.

Unconditioned stimulus ---> fish food.

Unconditioned response ---> swim to the top of the tank.

Neutral stimulus ---> light from the flashlight.

Conditioned stimulus ---> light from the flash light.

Conditioned response ---> swim to the top of the tank.

In this example, the neutral stimulus of flashlight when associated with the unconditioned stimulus of fish food, hence, when the flashlight goes on the fish gives the conditioned response and swims to the top of the tank for food.
