For this task, assume you are a well-known psychologist and have been asked to give a radio interview in your local community. The questions asked of you are based on THREE concepts about female anatomy and THREE concepts of male anatomy that were new or surprising to you when you first entered the field of psychology. Provide a transcript of your responses to the following questions:  

• What were the concepts that were most surprising to you of the male anatomy? The female anatomy?
• What sexual concepts do you think should be more widely known?
• What do you think would be different if more people were aware of these facts?
• How do you think social and cultural influences have had an impact on attitudes of the general public about these facts?

Explanation / Answer

The most surprising concept about the male anatomy was the fact that the urine and sperm comes from the same hole, unlike female anatomy. The difference in the male-female genital is primarily the one which young children need to know when it comes to male-female difference. It is very much essential when we consider an adult's emotional as well as sexual maturity.

It is now widely accepted that the lack of sex education is the former reason behind almost all forms of sexual disorders and crimes prevalent in the society. Discussing about the differences in male-female anatomy should not be considered as a taboo anymore. It not only create better citizens, but also promotes a healthy lifestyle. Society and culture plays a very prominent role in this. The topics related to sex and anatomy are to be taught in schools from an upper primary level.
