The original hotel brand is licensed to the franchisees to operate the chain in a manner governed by the brand owner. Sometimes, hotel chain owners lease out a property and pay rent to the landlord. It is not practical to own all property to run a hotel chain.

There are various factors that determine the decision to invest in hotel industry some of the important factors are listed below.
