What went well:
We had Sub-groups for completing related tasks, and everyone may need to do different tasks at same time.
We made a Team Plan (confirming deliverables plan) before we started the actual work.
We also made Assignment distribution plan to make sure everyone shares evenly work.
Decision making with communication.
What are the Challenges
Team meeting time: We had hard time to find an available time for everyone in the team.
MS Project technical challenges: Fix Critical Path, Schedule revises, Fix the format, Consider everyone’s ideas.
Slowly Response due to the Festival
What we can improve:
Try the best to schedule and come to the meetings
All work is related, give fast response.
As a project manager, it is very important to seek/include the opinion of the project team.
Team members should be willing to step in to help others out when necessary.
Preview the work, and make the best choice to distribute tasks.
Explanation / Answer
Yes, absolutely we were able to finish the project with deliverables as per the expectations because of the fact the work was allocated precisely as per the abilities of the team members which is very essential because right person at the right job can make a difference in the overall delivery of the project. The entire work was supposed to be done by a team and this was taken care that equal distribution motivated each and every employee to work harder and efficiently in a way that burden was not felt. Having said that we need to accept some of the challenges that we faced was starting off with a team meeting every morning at the same time because of the unavailability of all members of this large team and at times critical path issues also delayed the entire project which incurred certain extra cost as well to the organization. Schedule should have been stricter and should have been followed religiously and opinion and feedback of each and every employee should be taken before implementing bigger changes to make sure that projects deliverables are as per the set expectations and the organization gets benefitted as a whole.
