Explanation / Answer
Social norms are unwritten rules in a society about the acceptable behavior. In collective cultures, norms are very serious factors that are directly linked to the culture but in individualistic societies, norms are more of not interfering with individual freedom and rights. Collective societies even keep people who don't follow the norms out of their society.
One example is, not involving in one's privacy. For example, if someone is reading a book or checking their mobile phones, one shouldn't overlook at whatever they are doing. This is a violation of individual freedom and privacy. No one likes their personal space to be invaded by a stranger. No one likes someone comes in between unless they are invited to do so.
