Explanation / Answer

Behavioral Intervention- Manipulating the behavior to see how it affects a structure or function (the body). For example, putting a man in front of a woman will elevate her hormone levels.Scientists control the behavior of an organism looking for results in changes of the body structure or function.

15.A study done on aggressive behaviour being induced by isolation from periodic fighting sessions shows some somati effects and some behavioural effects in the individual. Somatic effect being changes in body weight and skin lesions, whereas behavioural effects being feeling isolated, temperament issues, depression etc.

16.In psychology there are 3 levels of analysis: biological, cognitive and socio-cultural.

The Biological Level of Analysis attributes physiological explanations to a behavior. They look at brain structures, levels of neurotransmitters and hormones, genetics and evolution.

The Cognitive Level of Analysis looks at the way we mentally see the world. Instead of focusing on brain structures, they look at the actual mental processes like memory or schemas.

The Socio-cultural level examines how our environment and culture play a part in our behavior.

17.Reductionism denotes the theory that every complex phenomenon, especially in biology or psychology, can be explained by analyzing the simplest, most basic physical mechanisms that are in operation during the phenomenon. Reductionist approach can be used at the cognitive level of analysis wherein the complex behaviour of humans can be broken down into mental schemas and they influence the thoughts leading to a specific behaviour.
