You hear the familiar sound of the text message alert from your cell phone. You read the message and it is an invite from your friends to meet up to hang out to play cards and have some pizza. You gladly accept the offer and hop in your car to drive there. Describe the areas of your brain that would be involved during your evening (starting from the car ride until the end of the evening) and what role each of them would play. Be sure to include at least 5 different brain structures in your answer.

Explanation / Answer

Hippocampus - While driving the car, the hippocampus will be working in order to figure out the directions to the place where friends are meeting up.

Pre Fontal Cortex- While playing cards the pre frontal cortex will be planning, making decisions and marinating proper social behavior.

Hypothalamus - The hypothalamus will be telling when i am hungry and when my hunger is satiated, so that i can stop eating.

Motor cortex and somatosensory cortex - All the friends decide to dance, dance is controlled majorly by motor cortex and  somatosensory cortex..
