Explanation / Answer

My biggest professional accomplishment came after I had successfully worked on my 4th project for the company I was working for at that particular time. I was a junior manager and the company was going through a rough series of financial issues which were further being complicated due to the team not being able to release the product on time. The upper management was ineffective in providing any solution for the problems and due to the increase in the budget drastically the company was now in doubts that the completion of the project could ever be achieved. They were about to abandon the project. The last thread was when the lead project manager resigned from his post due to some disagreement with the chain of commands and then I was selected to assume the post as the lead manager for the project. The company had identified that they could never recover from the loss if they did not complete the project and decide to cut their losses and abandon it midway. It came upon me to be able to direct the flow of the effort that everybody was putting into the project and carefully create a program or a master plan in order to successfully leverage whatever finances the company could procure for one last push against the challenges that the project presented. Using effective management strategies and directing the teams to be able to complete their part effectively while carefully diving the process into units and each unit working independently from the other. I was able to successfully manage the project. To a level that as the project neared its expected release date, it was already there and just had to be worked on for further advancement. The company then successfully released the video game which allowed them to keep afloat in the market for quite a long time. My efforts were recognized by the company, however, it gave me a personal sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
