1. Social media has changed the way we communicate with others, conduct businesses, make ourselves aware of the occurrences in our world along with serving many other functions. However, this constant stream of information that can be accessed almost instantaneously is associated with many psychological pitfalls. One of them is the comparisons its users tend to make between themselves and the projected images of others, leading to feelings of not being "good enough. Thus, the research question I would like to pose is the association between social media use and feelings of inadequacy.

2. The null hypothesis is: There is no significant impact of social media use on feelings of inadequacy.

The alternative hypothesis is: Social media use has a significant impact on feelings of inadequacy.

3. The statistical test that can be used to conduct the study would be a one-way ANOVA. This is because the data collected for social media use will be categorical while the data collected for measuring feelings of inadequacy would be continuous.

4. The means by which data for daily social media users will be collected by a self-report questionnaire that assesses the time spent by users on different types of social media platforms on a weekly basis. From this data, the participants can be categorized into different groups based on their frequency of use. In order to measure feelings of inadequacy, the Janis-Field feelings of Inadequacy Scale can be utilized. From this, each participant will receive a score hat will invalidate their reported personal feelings of inadequacy.
