This is two tailed pair t test.

In TI-83 calculator we need to enter data.

Hence Press STAT get cursor to L1 and press clrear then enter ' Friday the 6th' numbers

Now get cursor on L2 and press clear and then enter ' Friday the 13th' numbers.

Now get cursor at L3 and enter the formula L2 - L1 ( 2nd 2 makes L2 and 2nd 1 makes L1 ) and press enter.

Now press STAT > Tests > 2: T-TEST press enter

Then select DATA as input

Check that there must L3 for Lists. Select alternative hypothesis and press calculate. You will get

t value = 0.036

t critical value = +/- 2.57
