INTRODUCTION:

Let us first understand the meaning of inventory control and management. Inventory management is concerned with keeping pace with the level of inventory in the organization and knowing as to when and how much the inventory is required. It also involves reducing the inventory levels to the required number and making sure that the inventory is neither over stocked nor under stocked.

As a quality manager my duty is to keep a check on the level of quality in the organization and seeing if the production is matching the quality standards or not. Smitheford Pharmaceuticals wish to reduce its inventory costs and it is very important to keep a track on the problems being faced by the management team and the issues bothering the quality. This can be done by lowering the water levels and thus exposing all the problems one by one. Exposing the problems will not do anything if the problems are not resolved one by one.
