Welcome to the last week of your course. In this discussion question you have the opportunity to be creative and to relate what you have learned to your professional lives. Please explore and critically think about some of the learning outcomes and concepts presented in this course. Please effectively communicate how you would lead an organization (or a group of people within the organization) by applying the knowledge you have learned ethically and responsibly. Your discussion should also include innovative thinking, and information-technology aspects (such as the Internet, social-media, computers, etc.) that may assist you in decision-making. You may frame your discussion around any functional component of business, and in any context; problem-solving, management, leadership, organizational behavior, etc.

Explanation / Answer

Ethical aspects in leading the team - If leader discipline is poor then it become very difficult to command team. To maintain self discipline is difficult task. And leader who pretend for self discipline his team member also learn same skill and smart work ethics ruin. In typical words, being leader, he must identify wether he wans to do experiments or wants business outcome. In more depth leader must be capacity to separate meaning of dream & plan. With the dreams feelings are attached & when someone withdraw his feelings then his interest also retard.

Hence leader must be very careful about dreams of others. if leaders dream & employee dreams found controversial then it very difficult to maintain command. To come out from such ethical issue leader must be in capacity to separate personal dream & official goal. Official goal needs plan & monitoring and this official monitoring must be free from personal dreams. Official plan & goal are technical matter where as personal dreams are personal matter not require any technical support. With just close eyes leader can experience success of personal dream but in case of official goal plan it require infrastructure.

Second important thing is never be victim of getting black mail, and at same never think to do black mail to some one. Person who get blackmail can not be trusted more. As once leader get blackmail then un stability exist & his command get shifted to person who blackmails to him. Hence leader must maintain reserve disposition & take risk to bear loss without any fear or favors in simple language be technical.

Third important things never exploit available freedom, be reasonable because your team member learns from you how to respond behave. Moment leader exploit available freedom leader has to shoulder attached responsibility.

Fourth important things maintain & never allow poor quality input if expect quality output.
