Solution:

Since garage is in shape of rectangle therefore it makes an angle of 90 with center and therefore snoopy can roam only 3/4 portion of circle that can be drawn with having 18 feet long chain

Area of circle = r^2

where radius r = 18 ( length of chain )

= 3.14 x (18)2

   = 1017.36 ft2

   Now Snoopy can roam = (3/4) of total area circle

= (3/4) x 1017.36

= 763.02 ft2
