1. if the crane is rented from Boston Construction, the initial delivery charge will be $1500 and the rental fee will be $900 per week. Thus, the rental fee for x weeks will be 900x so that the total cost of renting the crane for x weeks is y = 1500 + 900x...(1)

2.  if the crane is rented from North End Contractors, the initial delivery charge will be $ 500 and the rental fee will be $ 1000 per week. Thus, the rental fee for x weeks will be 1000x so that the total cost of renting the crane for x weeks is y = 500 + 1000x...(2)

The required system of equations is y = 1500 + 900x...(1) and y = 500 + 1000x...(2)
