hence peremeter of 3 sides= 2a+b

length of fencing = 60 feet

hence 2a+b=60 i)

now

area of park=450

hence a*b=450 ii)

putting the value of b from i) into ii)

we get

a(60-2a)=450

or

a2-30a+225=0

hence a=15

putting this in ii)

b=30

hence shorter side =15 feet

longer side=30 feet
