The industrial revolution lead to the emergence of big factories where a large number of people were employed, initially they were working under extreme pressure such as unhygienic working conditions, long working hours and lesser wages. This condition of workers lead them to revolt against factory owners and the first revolt happened in the year 1811 in UK, this revolt attracted the government vision towards this issue and the government for the welfare of people working in factories came up with a plan to provide and look for basic rights and protections for workers, and the need to follow such statutory regulations forced factory owners to set up a formal system to look into workers’ wages and welfare, and redress other issues concerning labour problems. Describe your experiences with your company's HRM department? Does your HRM Department respond quickly to queries, is visible in the company and engages with employees?
The HRM department of my company is good, the overall experience which I have had with my HR department was positive. Right from the moment of joining (which was a little bit troublesome) I have never faced any problem. Most of the work is automated and very less interaction was required with the HR department.
I have at times sent mails to my HR Relationship Manager to enquire about different things and I have got prompt replies from his side. The HR Manager used to regularly come to our work place to enquire about our concerns and I remember once an employee complaining about faulty taps in the washroom, the incident was promptly addressed.
The HR department engages with employees at my company, training sessions are kept and the department is quite reputed in the company.
