When I search on alibaba.com for industrial products like polycarbonate. They shows many materials which are made of polycarbonate material like sun sheets or polycarbonate office chairs. They come up with the type of material, brand name, place of origin along with its application. As these sun sheets are used in buildings and are available in different colors and thickness.
But when I search teh same product polycarbonate on thomasnet.com it comes up with name of suppliers and suppliers brand name. Like if I need sheets, then I have to select it and it comes with thousands of results categorise on the basis of number of suppliers. I found this tricky one to operate and chose. Alibaba.com is user friendly site.
For sodium hydroxide alibaba shows differentiation on the basis of appearance of the product and its application. While thomasnet shows result on the basis of suppliers of the same product. But on thomasnet is useful only when you know the name of the suppliers you want to order for. This is quite complicated to use. In comparison alibaba is convenient to use and shows the new customer with number of variety.
