(e) Find the probability that the person is male or frequently involved in charity work P(being male or being frequently involved)- Click to select your answer(s). searchExplanation / Answer
solution:-
(a) p(being frequently involved or being ocassionally involved) = 0.461
freqently involved = 432
ocassionally involved = 888
total = 2863
frequency involved or ocassionally involved = 432+888 = 1320
then => 1320 / 2863
=> 0.461
(b) p(being female or not being involved) = 0.761
female total = 1384
males not involved = 796
Female or not involved = 1384+796 = 2180
Probability = 2180 / 2863
= 0.761
(c)p(being male or being frequently involved) =
males total = 1479
Frequently involved females = 207 + 1479 = 1686
Probability = 1686 / 2863
= 0.589
