1) Here we have to test:
H0 : Mean cell lengths of the diseased and the healthy groups are same.
H1 : Mean cell lengths of the diseased and the healthy groups are different.
By using t-test in Excel the output becomes:
Here it is seen that p-value is 1 which is greater than 0.05. Thus there is strong evidence to accept
null hypothesis.Thus we conclude that Mean cell lengths of the diseased and the healthy groups are same.
Here for that test we assume that the population variance for both group are equal. Then we can use t-test for two sample.But same result for assumption that the population variance are unequal.
