sample proportion for females = p^2 = 559/682 = 0.8196

97% confidence interval = ( p^1 - p^2) +- Z97% sqrt [p^1 * (1 - p^1)/n1 + p^2 * (1 - p^2)/n2]

= (0.6989 - 0.8196) +- 2.17 * sqrt [0.6989 * (1 - 0.6989)/538 + 0.8196 * (1 - 0.8196)/682]

= -0.1207 + 2.17 * 0.02466

= (-0.0672, -0.1742)
