Step 1: Begin by thinking of three different jobs, one that appears to have virtually no enrichment, one that seems to have moderate enrichment, and one that appears to have a great deal of enrichment. These jobs might be ones that you have personally held or ones you have observed and about which you can make some educated or informed judgment.
Step 2: Evaluate each job along the five core dimensions described in the job characteristics theory .
Step 3: Next see if you can identify ways to improve each of the five dimensions for each job; that is, see if you can determine how to enrich the job by using the job characteristics theory as a framework.
Step 4: Using the background information about the three jobs you examined as context answer the following questions.
1. What job qualities make some jobs easier to enrich than others?
2. Can all jobs be enriched?
3. Even if a particular job can be enriched, does that always mean that it should be enriched?
4. Under what circumstances might an individual prefer to have a routine and unenriched job?

The enrichment of an job depends on the attitude of a person , the same job can be a enriching job for one person and a liability for the other person.Proactiveness is a very good character which makes a job enichin, when a person id proactive he is notoced by a number of people in the organization,he gets noticed by the higher authority whic in turn helps him get a good raise or a promotion.Variable or work based compensation , jobs which have a fixed as well as a variable component are easier to enrich.Places which do not follow certain age of time bound criteria also are a easy job as there is not set boundry that a person has to work for a specific time on a position and only after that he will get a promotion or a raise.
All the jobs can be enriched with the right attitude and positivity.There is always a compensation attached to the work a person does , no one does any work for free.This states that all jobs can be enriching.
Put your best foot forward in ground so that you get the best result . Even if a particular job can be enriched, does that always mean that it should be enriched? The answer is yes , if we are working for a certain period of time and putting all our efforts they why dont we get the best result out of it.It should be a responsibilty of a person to get the best out of his work.Wealth maximization should be our motive as everyone wants to be rich.
If a person is lazy and lithargic in life he does not have any goals in life he tends to put no effort in his work.A routine job is what he wants in life where ther is no challenge.A hopeless person who wants to just drag his life without any motive are amongst those who have a routine and uneriched job.
