iii) Type of variable: The gender cann't be expressed in terms of number it can be catagorised according to their sex. Hence type of the variable is Categorical.

c) i) Observational Unit: Total number of adults =1000

ii) Variable: Typical amount of sleep ( in hours) adults get on weekdays and weekends.

iii) Type of variable: The number of hours expressed in terms of numbers. Hence the type of the variable is quantitative.

d) i) Observational unit : Total number of households = 972

ii) Variable: How much time household spend on housework on week.

iii ) Type of variable: The time can be expressed in terms of numbers. Type of the variable is quantitative.

e) i) Observational Unit : number of patients =100

ii) Variable: Knee pain score

iii) Type of variable : Knee pain score lies between 0-100 it is expressed in terms of numbers . type of the variable is quantitaive.

f) i) Observational Unit : Number of high school sopomores =15

ii) Variable : The SAT test scores.

iii) Type of variable: SAT test score expressed in terms of numbers, type of the variable is Quantitative.
