probability that both computers chosen are ancient = 0.98*0.98 = 0.9604

probability that all eight computers chosen are ancient = 0.988 = 0.8508

probability that at least one of eight randomly selected computers is cutting-edge = 1-probability that all eight computers chosen are ancient = 1-0.8508 = 0.1492
No it is not unsual that at least one of eight randomly selected computers is cutting-edge because its probabilty is 0.1492 which is greater than 0.05
