a) Percentage of males aged 65 - 74 who have a Cholesterol level above 240 mg/ 100 ml

= P(X > 240)

= P(z > (240 - 229.5)/47.3)

= P(z > 0.22)

= 0.4122

So,

The answer is 41.22%

b) P(X > 240)

= P(z > (240 - 236.8)/50)

= P(z > 0.064)

= 0.4745

So,

The answer is 47.45%
