1. The performance factor play a very important role when employee performance is poor like ability , it help the employee to set the standard to perform the task, the allows the employee to set high standard for own personal performance and motivate them to perform the quality work. Motivation---the main reason behind the employee poor performance is the poor motivation factor , if the employee is highly motivated then its performance level is very high and if the employee is less motivated then the performance of the employee is very low. environment also play a very important role in the performance of the employee , if the employee is working in the positive environment then his performance level is quite high and if the environment in which he is working is negative than it has also negative effect on the employee performance.
2. Following are the list that indicate that the performance of the employee is very poor-----------
1. Goals are not being met.
2. Employees relies too heavely on others to meet goals.
3. The quality of work is poor
4. employees has difficulty in working with his boss or the coworker.
Team leader is responsible for dignosing an employee,s poor performance.

Job discription play a very important role for the performance as in job discription you can set a measurable performance goals based on duties in the job discription and then manager can coach their employees to meet these goals needed. Manager leadership/oversight play an important role in performance also as oversight is needed to review the performance from time to time and to make sure that the employees are stay on track or not. manager can motivate their employees through effective means of communication and recognition and thus the performance is improved.
4. performance expectation is needed for the goal seetings, evaluation and also it is needed to give feedback to the employee. performance matrics is important because it help in improving th eperformance and it is also helpful in the improvement of goals,

Performance appraisal should be unbaised because it affect the future performance of the employee and also affect the production of the company. if the peformance appraisal is not fair employee feel cheated and demotivated which lead to poor performance and thus affect the performance and also lead to retrenchment .
6. Favoritism is the practice of giving unfair prefrential treatment to one person or group on the expence of other. sometimes it can have positive effect on the employee performance like as both the employee and manager should work together to conceal the poor performance of the employee. they work hard and also feel motivated if they get prefrences and importance at the time of his poor performance.
