A recent survey using a sample of 200 women shoppers in Tampa, FL found 60 Wal-Mart, 29 traditional department store, 11 JC Penney, 14 Kohl’s, 30 mail order, and 56 other outlet shoppers. Does this sample suggest that women shoppers in Tampa differ from the preferences expressed in the U.S. Shopper Data-base? What is your conclusion based on both the p-value and critical-value approaches? Use = .01.
Please tell me exactly what to write in Excel to get these answers and if there are any formulas that could be used. Thanks

Explanation / Answer
here applying chi square test of goodness of fit :
here test stat X2 =10.75
and degree of freedom =number of categories -1 =6-1 =5
for above test stat and 5 degree of freedom ; p value =0.0566
as p value is greater then 0.01 level we can not reject null hypothesis,
( Note from excel: you can directly calculate p value by chitest command; but for that you need to caclulate expected E =200* percentage of corresponding outlet) . use =chitest(array of observed value ; array of expected values) and you will get p value.)
please revert for further clarifcation
