Question
need very detailed written steps on how to do this quick online stoop test. It can be found here: http://www.psytoolkit.org/experiment-library/stroop.html
Copy/pasted here are the online experiment instructions:
About this implementation
The demo takes less than 2 minutes to complete.
The demo below requires button presses instead of just naming (as in the original study)
In the demo, there are only 40 trials. In a real experiment, you should use considerably more trials to have a more reliable measure of the Stroop effect.
At the end of the demo, you get feedback about your response times in the compatible and incompatible condition:
Compatible: The color of the word and the meaning is the same (e.g., GREEN)
Incompatible: The color of the word and the meaning is different (e.g., GREEN)
The Stroop effect is here reported as the average response time in incompatible trials minus compatible trials.
Note, you can show your response times and copy and paste them to a local file for your own data analysis.

Essentially my research to find the correlation between stress level and stroop performance. So, in this experiment, we're measuring our heart-rate in order to measure stress. And relating that with our performance on the stroop test. There are 80 other people doing this experiment. And after experiment we are to fill our the quesionaire: Handedness; What is your gender?; What is your heart-rate?; What was your Congruent Response Time (ms)?; What was your Incongruent Response Time (ms)?; What was your Stroop-Effect Response Time (ms)?.
And analyze the results.
We found that increased heart-rate actually increases the stroop performance, which was opposite of what we've predicted.
So for this experiment, what are the detailed step-by-step instructions to put in the "methods" section of any research paper?
Explanation / Answer
You can do Chi Square test.
Chi square test is used for checking independence.
so here you can check whether increased or decreased heart and congruent response time have any relation or not on stroop effect response time and same with incongruent time.
so you can make 2*2 table in that 2 rows contains increased and decreased heart rate and 2 column contains congruent response time. you can split congruent time in 2 like less than some ms and greater than that same ms.
and 4 boxes will contain the stroop effect response time corresponding to that row and column.
So chi square test will be the effective for your study.
