Question

SPSS #6 (6 pts)

You want to know more about what specific aspects of your intervention for LDS returned missionaries might have been effective. As part of your treatment for depression, you encouraged them to go out and meet new friends, rather than only relying on reconnecting with friends they knew before their missions. You think it makes sense that this part of your intervention would have impacted depression, but you want to test it out. You want to know whether or not there is a relationship between the amounts of time returned missionaries spent with new friends they have made since returning from their mission, and their levels of depression at the end of the intervention. You had each missionary keep a log of their time spent with new friends, and you’ve calculated an average of hours per week. Use SPSS to examine the relationship between Week 12 depression scores and time spent with new friends. Use the SPSS 3 & 4 data set posted on Canvas to avoid data entry errors.
