At school debate tournament hat of teams were osked to wear suits und bes and the wins and losses a wearing suits as for teams wearing ieans 22 28 T-shirt28 22 Ha: The proportion of wins is the same for teams wearing suits as H.: The proportions are different Test statistic: x2-1440 Critical value: x2-3.841 for teams wearing jeans a) critical value, we reject H, and conclude that the Since the test statistic is less than the proportion of wins differs for the teams wearing suits Since the test statistic is less than the critical value, we fail to reject He. There is not enough evidence to conclude that the proportion of wins differs for the teams wearing suits vers those wearing jeans. and those wearing jeans. e) Since the test statistic > 1, we reject , and conclude that the proportion of wins differs for the teams wearing suits and those wearing jeans d) Since the critical value , we reject He and conclude that the proportion of wins diners for the teams wearing suits and those wearing jeans. e) Since the test statistic is less than the critical value, we accept Ho and conclude that the proportion of wins is the same for the teams wearing suits and for those wearing jeans. 6. Explanation / Answer

I am going to answer only 5 question and you are requested to upload one question at a time.

The correct option for 5th question is (b)

Explanation: As in the testing of hypothesis we have two hypothesis null and alternative and we conduct a test to check whether our null hypothesis is true based on the data and assumed level of significane. Here in the question the test statistic value is less than tabulated value based on may be 5% level of significance. Hence in this case we do not find any strong evidence to reject the hypothesis. On the other hand if we have different observations from the same situation or different level of significance then it may be possible that our test statistic value can be greater than tabulated values. So while making comment on the result in the question 5 one can only say that based on the values and assumed level of significance one do not find any evidence to reject H0.
