ccording to a Ford website , the average mileage per gallon for the 2016 Ford F-150 is 18 city and 24 highway miles per gallon. We need to test the claim that the mean miles per gallon for all 2016 F-150 is at the worst case possible, greater than 18 miles per gallon. To collect data of the average miles per gallon of the Ford F-150, we use the collected data result from Fuelly, a website for car owners to report the average miles per gallons of their vehicles. On that website, there are over 250 2016 Ford f-150s with reported gas mileage. The sample size is at least 30, so it is good for us to oerform the one tailed hypiothesis test for population mean. In addition since the standard deviation f gas mileage is not given by Ford. we will use the sample standard deviation to perform our test statictics (Use=s 0.6029)
