Given

amount of eroded soil = 0.4 + 1.3 × (flow rate)

One of the used flow rate = 0.3

Therefore, amount of eroded soil = 0.4 + 1.3× (0.3)

= 0.79

The actual value = 0.8 kilograms

Therefore the error or residual = 0.8-0.79 =0.01

Therefore the answer is 0.01 kilograms
