Organising principles

1. Principle of span of control
Span of control implies the number of employees that a single manager can control. According to the principal manager should be able to decide the number of employees he can handle.. Accordingly there are two types of control
a) Wide span of control
hear a large group of employees is controlled by a manager
b) narrow span of control
Hear a small group of employees is controlled by a manager

2. Principle of scalar chain
It is a chain of command that flows from top to bottom.
It facilitates communication, avoids overlap of work and wastage of resources is minimised. This principle helps in clarifying the authority of positions to manager at every level which facilitates effective organisation.

3. Principle of unity of command
It signifies 1 subordinates to 1 superior relationship. This ensure from feedback and response cycle between the subordinate and superior. It eliminates communication gap if any. It also enables easy coordinates between the subordinate and the superior.
