Explanation / Answer

ANSWER:

We often do not analyze performance and learn from deficiencies after taking a test. When we get your test papers back, we should   scrutinize these thoroughly to understand the mistakes that we made. The idea is go over it to determine areas of strength and weakness in our test-taking skills. If we don't know the answer to a question, we must look it up, ask a classmate or ask the teacher .We should take time to critique ourselves and set goals for future. However, we should not waste time being overly critical of ourselves if we underperformed a test. Instead, we should analyze what preparation strategies worked and which ones were ineffective so as to identify where you were prior to taking the test and how much you’ve learned since then. We should make necessary adjustments and begin preparing for the future tests. These strategies will help us to improve test-taking skills.

We must take notes on what the teacher wanted for an answer on the questions that we got wrong. We should save the test papers as study material for future tests.

In the homework, we should first understand definitions, terms and notations carefully before looking up as many examples as we can to enhance clarity. Preparation for tests should begin on the first day of the class. This includes paying attention during class, taking notes, studying, completing homework assignments and reviewing study materials on a regular basis. This helps us learn the material well enough to be successful on the post-test.

We should budget our time, make sure that we have sufficient time to study so that we are well prepared for the tests. We should also go through material from practice tests, Home Work’s sample problems, review material, the textbook, class notes and the publisher videos. We should pay attention to hints that the instructor may give about the test and ask questions about items that we may not be clear about. We may also list the main ideas/information/formulas onto a sheet that can be quickly reviewed many times, this makes it easier to retain the key concepts that will be on the test. The extra practice is quite often the most helpful.

.Enough time should be spent on Multiple choice questions, Essays, True-False questions, Short answer, Quantitative and Descriptive questions.

Lastly, we should compare how well we performed with our preparation and get feedback from our Instructors.

We would recommend these strategies to someone new to a course and to avoid relying solely upon a single strategy or source
