Question
PhET Tutorial: Circuit Construction Kit Ohm's Law and Power Loarning Goal: one battery. For this tutorial, use tho PhET simulation Circunit Construction Kit (DC Only). This eimulaion allows you to build circuits using wiro, resistors, batorios, and cther cirouit components. The voltago across any two locations an the cirouit can bo moasured using a voltmetor, and the current ca be measured using an ammeter. In this tutorial, only direct current (DC) eircuits are cons dered. LAUNCH SIMULATION Start the simulation, When you cick the simulation link, you may be asked whether to run, open, or save the file. Choose to run or open it You should soo a varicty of dircuit components (named and pictured) near the rignt odgo of the blue panal. You can click and drag any of thase components into the bluo panal and construct a arcuit. The componants can be connected to each cther by averlapping the rad dirclos (the juncton bocomes a brown circlo). Each component can bo rotated by dragging by the red circle, and the wire can also be longthened or shoriened this way. To disconnect two components, right-click (or control-click) on the brown circlo of the junction and seledt Split Junction in tho smell menu thet appears. To change the resistance of a resistor or the emf of the betlery, right-click (or contro-cick) select the appropriale choice in the pop-up menu, and make the adjustment using the pop-up adjustment panel. the component The two tools you will use in this tutorial are the voltmeter and the noncontact ammeler. The voltmeter gives you the volage (potential difference) between the two locations of the probes. Simply drag the red and bleck probes and place the tips at any two locafons on the circuit. The output of the voltmeter is the potential of the red probe minus the potential of the black probe. The noncontact ammeter allows you to measure the current simply by dragging he transparent circle (with cross hairs) over a wire. Fool free to play around with tha simulation. Whon you are done, cick Resot All befare boginning Part A Part A Drag a batery into the construction panel, and use the voltmeter to determine which end of the battery is the positive terminal. The positve terminal has a higher potential than the negative terminal (recall that the voltmeter measures the potentiel diflerence between the red probe and he black probe) Which and of the battory is the postivo torrinal? Hints the black end O the grey end Submlt My Answers Give UpExplanation / Answer
At Gray end..
Basically we take Gray/Red as a positive terminal of the battery and Black as negative terminal of the battery. In the qursques black will be negative terminal and rest of will be positive.
