Question

Above are the questions for my lab, and below is the graph and the data. Oul Tistol lll Class as the accepted value of the resistance. Questions For Discussion 1. Explain how your graph for the resistor in Part B above demonstrates Ohm's Law. 2. Which of the two values of resistance (Ra or Rs) is a better match for the accepted value and why? Do your errors for the two resistances comply to the manufacturer's rating of ±10%? 3. 4. State how you would obtain the resistance of a resistor from a graph of a. voltage versus current b. current versus voltage f10 f11 F12 f7 f8 0 4

Explanation / Answer

(1) The graph verifies the Ohm's law as it shows the linear relation between V and I.

(2) The second value of 233.33 Ohms is a better a matched value for the accepted value as it is closer to it compared to the first value of 220 Ohms.

(3) Yes, they do comply to the manufacturer's rating.

(4) For a current versus voltage plot, the slope is the value of the resistance. For a voltage versus current plot, the inverse of the slope is the resistance.
