a)
Since Population in statistics means groups from which we taking sample for statistical analysis of that group is called Population so here in our case we have group of 4th year students majoring in english from our college so 76 fourth year student majoring in english are Our Population
b)
Since sample is defined as Part of Population which is used for analysis purpose of the population so here we have 20 fourth year students who represent the whole class so 20 fourth year students majoring in english are our sample
c)
In this case students have to say "yes" or "no" for new requirement so if the number of "yes" is greater than that of "no" then new its considered as students wants new requirement and vice versa so in this case we will use Proportion as statisitcs
d)
Statistical measure for the Population is known as Population parameter here we are interested in Proportion of "yes" and "no"
so Proportion of "yes" and "no" in the 76 fourth year students majoring in english is Population parameter
e)
we have given Population of 76 students from which we select 20 students as our sample then find the proportion of students who saying "yes" and "no" for the new requirements based on these proportion we can find population proportion of "yes" and "no"
