Explanation / Answer

Ling can be held for the negligence as this case will come under business owner's duty for business invitees or public. It is the duty of the business and premises owner that is used by the invitees or public who comes to the premises to make sure it is in a safe condition. And any injuries caused to the public because of the negligence of the conditions by not finding out the obvious faults and rectifying them or informing the invitees about them can make the owner liable for it. Also it is the onwer's duty to inspect the conditions of the premises that are dangerous or can cause harm to the public and take corrective action for them. He should either fix the problem or inform the public about it in the best possible manner.
