3. when on high power lens if the area of interest is not visible then the stage needs to be adjusted. the slide with the specimen can also be adjusted by moving it left , right, front and back till the area under focus is clear.
4. when in the mediumor in the high power objective and still not able to view the area of interest it is advisible to use the oil immersion objective, tghis might be helpful. (a drop of cedar wood oil is placed on the slide) the objective is in direct contact with the iol drop thus eliminating any disturbance caused by air.
5. an oil immersioin is used to get maximum clarity, highest resolution is achieved in this method of viewing.
7. parfocal is the method of changing the lense or objectives alone while the area under focus remains constant or undisturbed.
8. removing and refocusing constantly has the risk of dropping the slide or taking the lens so close that it puts pressure on the slide that the lens breaks. all these can be avoided with parfocal method.
9. the image viewed by the human eye is a highly magnified, resolved and inverted image but the eye adjusts it and makes the actual picture appear as in original.
10. all scientific work that deals with the microscopic world requires asound knowlege of the microscope and its functioning without which work will be impossible.
